As I contemplated what theme to create for an inspiration board, I was reminded of my love for all things pretty & vintage! A twist on the shade of "something blue" these blues are sure to create a clean and pretty pallet in shades of mint blue, creams, ivory, and brown (or black hues like the typewriter keys). *FIND#1* Typewriter Key Wall Art {$349 from Pottery Barn} is a great piece of inspiration for your Table Numbers & Escort Cards. My Idea is to create your own DIY Board with letters in Typewriter fonts or numbers, you can lead your guests to find their seats on the board under the alphabet letter of their last name directing them to their table number - its super cute and easy to DIY! *FIND#2* Hawaiian Based Photographer James Rubio captured such a beautiful shot of Hot Heels sitting on top of a vintage typewriter - when creating this theme you have got to incorporate a unique or vintage typewriter {I recommend searching on ebay, local garage sales, or flea markets to find yourself one for your wedding. Having guests sign in on the typewriter for the Guest Book will be a hugely creative hit}! *FIND#3* Keys & Memories Etsy Shop created this adorable bouquet body, adorned with typewriter keys {you can purchase them by clicking their link above} its a cute idea to do the initials of you and your soon to be hubby, or to have your bridesmaids initials on their individual bouquets. *FIND#4* A great gift to give your Groom on your wedding to complete your Typewriter Theme are these sweet CuffLinks {from E&H @ $100, also visit Etsy Shops for some handmade at a better price}. *FIND#5* These Mint Green book boxes create a unique decor element {from Wisteria @ $44, or do your own DIY version with stacked vintage books}. Enjoy the Typewriter Madness~
I just love these sweet and light shades of pink for a spring or summer wedding! Incorporating a mix of multiple pink shades adds more excitement to your color pallet - I recommend choosing two or three shades of pink and one bold color such as silver to accent it or green for example. This will allow you to carry the same shades throughout your big day while not being overwhelming with just one shade of pink. Some of my favorite trends above are using ruffles that bring back a beautiful vintage feel with ruffles, lace, and feminine feel. Using ivory or pearl accents would also romanticize this pallet; have fun with your pinks!!
"Stella" by Tocca Parfum is my absolute favorite scent as it has such a classic and elegant richness to it... It sure makes for a fabulous Bridal Shower Gift, a sweet smelling gift for The Bride from her loving Groom on their big day (I always recommend the Groom to pass along a thoughtful wedding gift with a hand written note to his Bride on the big day. Be sure to pass this on to a responsible person to make sure they hand deliver it to her as she is getting ready - it's a great way to remind her your thinking of her and excited to become her "Husband")! Also, it is very appropriate for a Mother of the Bride to gift to her daughter or for the Bride to gift to her Maid of Honor~
TOCCA Eau de Parfum, Stella $68.00 by Tocca at Beauty.com Recapturing the imagination, our four Eau de Parfum's each bring a distinct character into the world of Tocca.
I know that many Brides getting married in any wet and rainy season is going to be worried about what shoes to wear (no one wants to sink into mushy grass in heels, especially the bride)! I recommend wearing a beautiful wedge heel so that if your wedding is out doors at all, you won't be worried about tip-toeing down the aisle... This also goes for Bridesmaids and guests, allow yourself to be comfortable at all times and be able to dance the night away!
When I first began planning my own wedding I wanted to do something creative to ask my favorite ladies to play a special role in my Bridal Party, but didn't quite know what to do... I ended up coming up with a poem and typing it out on elegant paper with elegant fonts and it read a special note for each role in the Bridal party (I guess I will have to search my office and find the actual poems I used to share with you all). After I printed them, I placed them in beautiful frames and had them sent to each member of my Bridal Party Hopefull's ;) Come to find out, the special gesture was such a pleasent surprise to each of them that they called me the instant they received their creative Team Bride Invitation!
I recently came across another very unique and creative way to invite your gal-pal's to be official members of your Bridal Party on PW and thought I would share the cuteness with you all... It is very easy and affordable if you follow the instructions, pick up supplies at your local craft store, and make it your own unique invite with custom colors and fonts that best match your wedding theme (this is a great way to give the future Bridal Party an insight to your decor scheme)~ Hope you enjoy it and Happy Planning!!
"Looking for a special way to ask your bridesmaids and maid of honor to be part of your big day? These sweet accordion gifts can be customized to your bridesmaid's personality. They "pop" open when the lid is taken off!
Materials needed: Boxes with lids, Ribbon, Computer/Printer and assorted charms or tokens.
Step One: Measure box and layout text accordingly in a program like Microsoft Word or Adobe Illustrator. You'll want to make each one according to your bridesmaid's interests. Print it out.
Step Two: After printing, cut out the strips of paper and fold them accordion style. Be sure to leave a little flap at the top to adhere the strip to the lid of the box.
Step Three: Attach the tokens or charms by tying or gluing them to the paper then adhere the strip to the lid of the box.
Step Four: Tie with a ribbon and voila! A special gift for your special friend." Source
Jennifer Green, Bride To Be on New Years Eve (what a special day to celebrate a joining of lives in marriage to kick off the new year) was showered with love and gifts by some very special ladies in her life! A dear friend to Jennifer and her family, Fabi Harris opened her beautiful home and honored Jennifer with a truly memorable Bridal Shower... Here are a few Inspiring pictures taken at Jen's Bridal Shower Tea, boy was it a fun event to attend!
I just love this idea: Heart Shaped Notecards were placed on the table that each had a Month of the Year written on them. Each guest was to write their name on the back of the card and list an activity for the newlyweds to do sometime during that month. I wrote down the month of June and suggested that the newlyweds take a Saturday drive down to Laguna Beach to visit the beautiful Art Galleries (where they usually serve Mamosa's or Champagne on weekends), then visit the Beautiful Montage Resort & Spa where they can enjoy live music in the Lobby Lounge and then take a stroll down their breathtaking Beach and enjoy the sun and summer brease together! What a fun way to make their first year of marriage memorable and exciting!!
I do have to say that they had some creative games to play at this extra special Bridal Shower. The Bride was blinefolded by the oh-so-talented host Fabi and then handed a suitecase where she then had to put the attire items on without seeing what they were. It was quite hilarious when she thought a slipper was an elbow pad and thought a nightgown was an apron ;) The idea was that she was Getting Ready for her Groom on their Honeymoon - so creative!
So much fun with Jennifer, the Beautiful Bride as she enjoyed her Luncheon Tea and all the pretty decor!
A special poem was read by the Bride's sweet friend Fabi Harris, who threw her the beautiful Bridal Shower. The Biblical poem mentioned significant wedding items (something old, new, borrowed, and blue) - as Fabi read the sweet words, she gifted Jennifer (The Bride to be), her Mother, and soon to be Mother In Law with the touching hankerchief with all the significant items shown in the photo above. If I were Martha Stewart, i'd call this "A Good Thing!"
They served the salad in a vintage teacup and i have to say it sure made the plate look adorable
Tea Sandwiches, Punch, Hot Tea, Scones, and so much more... They also had these cute candy favors in a decorative bag (pictured above)
