I fell in love with this unique company I came across, called Modern Bird Studios; Turning your Engagement Pictures (or any photo for that matter) into amazing wood art to have as a special keepsake art piece is really only clicks away... So convenient! I am actually thinking of ordering one for myself, but instead of using our engagement picture (since we already have a large canvas of it) - I'll be ordering a photo of our sweet lil doggie Merlot to be transformed into wood art. The possibilities are endless, but I really wanted to share this unique find with all of you Brides wanting to bring more unique elements into your wedding! Another great idea is to transform your parents or grandparents wedding photos into Modern Bird Studios Wood Art to display at your wedding, or as a gift to loved ones to say thank you for being part of your special day - it's definitely not a gift they'd already have; very original! Check out their site, i'd love to hear what you all think of their unique woodwork.
I came across these cute invitation cards from Free Printables Online... You may be thinking "how could i possibly use those in my wedding"? Well, we were inspired by them to be used as invites for Engagement Parties! A special touch would be to print them on thick cardstock or thick gloss paper (8.5 x 11 paper size) and print on the backside with your Engagement Picture, enclose the invite in a nice quality envelope, be sure to stick on a cute Return Address Label, and Voila - you have yourself one creative and affordible Engagement/Photo Invitation!
Remember: If it's Raining on your wedding day... don't fret (it's supposed to be Good Luck)! If you experience rain on either the day of your Engagement Photo Shoot or on your Wedding day, turn it into a fun and creative photo opportunity! Sometimes its those unexpected and spontaneous things that turn out to be most memorable; you and your guests will love looking at pictures of the happy couple having the time of your lives no matter where it is, so embrace it and show off your personality with cute props like these above. Using a cute umbrella will not only save your hair-do, but will also be awesome for pix! Also, if your extra girl and don't want to ruin your favorite heels, then cute rain boots may be just what you need (just not down the aisle please ;)

"Cupcake Vineyard is located in Monterey County, California where warm days give way to cool nights as the fog rolls in off of the Pacific Ocean. It’s this cooling influence that slows the growing process, increasing the time the grapes “hang” on the vine and thereby allow our grapes to mature a little slower than in hotter regions. Slow growth and cool weather leads to a more balanced level of acids and sugars, thereby adding to the complexity and structure of the wines of the Central Coast. This region is poised to become one of the newest and most exciting viticultural opportunities in the coming years.
This slow pace continues in the cellar where they take the time to craft wines that are complex, rewarding and hand made. Gentle pressing, cool fermentation, malolactic fermentation, and long barrel aging in small barriques allow us to elevate their wines so that they are rich, creamy and downright delicious. Their winemaker, Adam Richardson has since added a few additional wines from other cool climate regions to augment our portfolio and match up with additional cupcake profiles, like the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Yakima Valley Riesling, and Mendoza Malbec.
Go ahead, live deliciously!" Checkout their website where you can purchase wine directly from Cupcake Vineyards. Their adorable wine labels are a great touch that would simply look stunning on any wedding reception table. I personally think they would be a lovely feature to have 1 white and 1 red bottle at each table of your event. A fun touch would be to add a decorative tag at the top of the bottle with the table number to help guests locate their table. Now days, wine isn't only about taste... its about the perfect taste and the overall package ;)
If having a bottle or two at each table is too pricy for your budget, I recommend having wines from Cupcake enjoyed at your Bridal Shower or Engagement Party - they are just too fun to pass up!
Why? The Kentucky Derby might only happen in May, but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate like the prize-winning horse owners all summer long! Have fun celebrating your Engagement in Derby Style~
Setup: Decorate for an outside picnic with red-and-white checkered tablecloths, give each table the name of a prized thoroughbred, and encourage women to wear fun hats. Put the TV or radio on a horse race and pass out faux betting sheets
Music: Crank up country tunes like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban
Nibbles: Barbecue chicken fingers, tea sandwiches, and ramekins of mac and cheese
Specialty Drinks: Mint juleps, of course! But if you're not a big bourbon fan, try mojitos (which are made with rum). You'll still get the mint effect
Directions: Muddle mint leaves, powdered sugar, and water in a collins glass. Fill the glass with shaved or crushed ice and add bourbon. Top with more ice and garnish with a mint sprig. Serve with a straw.
Congratulations to Candi Booska and Kevin Crawford who will be married this weekend at Waverly Chapel, by Lauren Shaw of The Royal Engagement. Enjoy your special day to the fullest!!
What an incredible event... we had such a fun and amazing time planning the engagement party for the soon to be Mr. & Mrs.! The venue was breathtaking at their families beach house overlooking the water in Huntington Harbor. The decor of the home went so well with the beach theme of the event. It was so wonderful to see both families come together and get to know one another as they celebrated the engagement. Enjoy viewing the beautiful photos from the evening:
As guests arrived, they were asked to sign a bottle of champagne as a way to bring both sides of their families together; having a momentum from the day their families met. Each guest had a name tag that helped introduce them (which were made by the mother of the groom).
The couple displayed their favorite moments together in various photos throughout
Here is a beautiful way of adding a personal touch and also emphasizing their engagement, the ribbon stated "She said... Yes!"
The unique chair decor added so much to their beach theme and added personalization.
We has so much fun creating this unique Italian Gelato Bar, guests truly enjoyed this sweet novelty as it was delightfully unexpected. Always try to think of fun ways to end the evening, giving guests a great lasting memory.
